It’s never a good time to be surprised by an RTU or Boiler failure or the implication that having to replace these units can have on cash flow. Funds earmarked for other projects or upgrades often have to be diverted. We have a solution for that. We now offer leasing on any RTU or Boiler Installation with lease packages ranging from equipment and installation only to all encompassing agreements that cover all maintenance. Leasing is a great way to get the equipment you need today and preserve your capital. Over time the cost of repairing commercial units starts to add up and its easy to get caught in the “just repair it for now” syndrome. With our temperature extremes most experts agree that replacement of an RTU should be expected 15 to 20 years after installation. We offer a planned replacement service whereby any time after the 10th year after installation we will assess your units, determine as best we can how much life is left in them and set up a scaled maintenance program that will take you from the time of assessment to the anticipated replacement date. By planning your replacement well in advance you are able to more easily budget your annual maintenance costs including increases due to age of equipment and at the same time have a time period set where you know that repairing the unit is not going to be as cost effective as replacement. Service & Maintenance
As part of the vision of becoming a one stop shop, Weiss-Johnson acquired Federal Environmental Services (FES) a long standing Edmonton based service and Maintenance Company. Weiss Johnson Service and Maintenance focuses on the heating, ventilation, plumbing, electrical and refrigeration of commercial buildings. The majority of our service and maintenance business specializes in quarterly preventative maintenance on HVAC/Boiler/Refrigeration equipment which will provide the customer with:
- Maximum comfort for building occupants
- Improve operating efficiency of mechanical systems (boilers, chillers, rooftop heat/cool units, etc.)
- Apply preventative maintenance procedures to reduce changes of premature equipment failure; and
- Provide for periodic inspection of building systems to avoid emergency breakdowns.
Preventative Maintenance service (PM) includes a number of scheduled and rigorous activities such as changing belts and filters, cleaning indoor and outdoor coils, lubricating motors and bearings, cleaning and maintaining cooling towers, testing control functions and calibration. Our customer list dates back to 1995 with some of those customers being with us for the majority of that time.
